Mussoorie gives you the Doon valley spread out below your window, Gun Hill at sunset, Landour's writer-and-bakery lanes and a cable car ride, with three nights to enjoy them slowly. Then you drop to Rishikesh for two nights beside the Ganga — the evening aarti at Parmarth Niketan, a private candlelight dinner on the terrace, and an optional gentle rafting float for couples who want a little adrenaline.
