About this journey
Between June and October the beaches empty and the hinterland comes alive — this trip goes after that Goa. You spend two nights in the coastal belt and two on a spice plantation in the Ghats, walking to Netravali's bubble lake and Tambdi Surla's basalt temple, riding a jeep safari to Dudhsagar's four-tiered fall when the route is open, and kayaking the Sal river's mangrove channels. Guides are local naturalists, walks are moderate, and rates reflect green-season pricing. It suits travellers who have done Goa's beaches and want the forest, rivers and villages instead.
5 days planned
Airport pick-up and transfer to your coastal hotel. Afternoon in Panjim's Fontainhas quarter — Portuguese houses, azulejo tiles and a bakery stop — followed by an evening walk along the Mandovi promenade.
