Day 01 : International Arrival at New Delhi
After a comfortable International flight , arrive at the Indira Gandhi International Relax and after lunch , your French speaking Tour Guide will take you around Old part of Delhi wherein you would visit the magnificent Jama Masjid, which is the Asia’s biggest Mosque , the Grand Red Fort , Chandni Chowk, Raj Ghat where The Father of Nation Mahatma Gandhi was cremated.& The Gandhi memorial at the end.
Dinner could be at the Chinese Restaurant – Tea House of the August Moon at Taj Palace Hotel OR at the Indian Cuisine Restaurant – Varq in TajMahal Hotel. Both are 5* Hotels Overnight at your Hotel.
Day 02 : Delhi / Varanasi ( Fly )
Breakfast and later sightseeing of New Delhi with Tour Guide visiting Humayun’s Tomb, Qutab Minar, National Museum near India Gate , drive past the President House , Parliament Building etc. The Buildings in New Delhi are generally built by the British.
Lunch at a local restaurant and taste Indian and Moghul Cuisine.
After lunch , time will be allowed for some shopping of souvenirs etc
Afternoon you will be transferred to domestic airport for your flight to one of the ancient cities in the World – Varanasi. Arrive & our Executive will greet you and escort you in your private Car to the Hotel. Dinner and overnight.
Day 03 : In Varanasi
Varanasi . Also known previously as Kashi has been an important centers for
Hindu Culture, Education and temples. It is one of the most important pilgrim Center for Hindus. The holiest river of India – Ganges flows from here and thousands of people go to take a dip in the river to wash their “sins” There are number of temples and Ghats. Close to Varanasi , is Sarnath where Lord Buddha preched his first sermon. A beautiful Mahabodhi temples is a center of attraction for many devotees of the Buddhism from all over the World.
Your Tour guide will meet you after breakfast and will take you around the various temples, Varanasi University known as the Benaras Hindu University – one of the Oldest Universities in India, the Ganges Ghats.
After lunch you will drive 11 km away to visit Sarnath.
Return to Varanasi and evening visit the Ganges ghat again to see the prayers conducted by the Hindu priests with Oil lamps and later these little lamps are floated in the river. Hundreds of such lamps can be seen here in the river water. It gives a great experience while seeing it from a small rowing boat. Dinner and overnight.
Day 04 : Varanasi – Khajuraho ( Fly )
After breakfast , time for your flight. You will be transferred. Fly to this small temple town which have some exquisite cluster of in active temples where prayers etc are not held. The outside walls can be seen replete with beautiful erotic carved figures which depicts the life style of the Chandela Dynasty period . Chandela were Gujjar Rajputs and ruled in the entire Central India from 9th to 13th Century. They were lovers of Art and Culture.
Arrive and met by our executive to be transferred to your Hotel.
Lunch and later your Tour Guide will take you around the Cluster of these exquisite temples. Dinner and overnight.
Day 05 : Khajuraho – Jhansi – Orcha ( Drive by Car – 5 Hours )
Today we drive by our private Car to Jhansi and reach Orcha which is 15 km. Orcha , also called Urchha was established by Maharaja Rudra Pratap in the 16th Century on the banks of the Betwa River in the Budelkhand Region of Central India. Arrive and check in at a Resort.
Places of interest is the huge Palace – Fort and some adjoining buildings out of which the Jahangir Mahal & Raja Mahal are worth a visit. Jahangir Mahal depicts Moghul Architecture. Visit the Raja Ram Temple. Also visit the Chaturbhuj Temple which is from the 9th Century. Your Tour guide will show you around and educate you with various historical facts of the places. Dinner and overnight.
Day 06 : Orcha – Gwalior – Agra ( Drive 3 Hours )
After breakfast drive to Gwalior and visit the massive Fort which was built by the
area Chieftain Surya Sena Kachawa in 727 AD. Your Guide will explain you the interesting Fort which is a massive structure built on a Hillock.
Lunch at a local restaurant and then drive to Agra.
Arrive Agra & transfer to your Hotel. Special and traditional welcome await you at the Hotel. You will stay pretty close to the TajMahal vicinity. Maybe you stay in a room which has a view of the Tajmahal from your room. Go for a splash in the swimming pool if you feel like.
At 3 PM , your professional language speaking guide will escort you on a live visit to the gorgeous Taj Mahal , a massive Tomb made of White Marble transported from “ Makrana “ in Rajasthan. At places you will find delicate inlay of precious stones on the Wall of TajMahal. Legend has that 20,000 masons and Engineers worked here to build this grand structure which is primarily an epitome of eternal love which Moghul Emperor Shahjehan and his beloved wife had for each other.
The time of the visit to Tajmahal will be managed in a manner to enable you see the Taj by sunset when the sun spills it orange glory on the White marble and the whole ambiance just looks so picturesque.The interesting history of monument will be carefully narrated by your Guide at the spot. Soon after sunset , your guide will escort you back to your Hotel.
Dinner at the Hotel’s restaurant – You may like to have dinner at the Pool Terrace or for a Mughlai Dinner. Care is taken by the Hotel decorators to take you back to the Moghul era who always had an inimitable style of grandeur.
Day 07 : Agra – Bharatpur ( Drive 2 Hours )
You may try for a South Indian Cuisine for Breakfast this morning in the comfort of your room or at their restaurant. Later your guide will be pleased to escort you to the massive Red Fort which was also built by Emperor ShahJehan and paradoxically was arrested and imprisoned by his own son Aurangzeb where the only incentive allowed was that Emperor Shahjehan was put in such a vantage location in the Fort from where he could view the TajMahal. He spent the rest of his life imprisoned ! Feel the times of the Moghul era here and later visit the It- Mad- Ud – Daullah , also known as Baby Taj or a “ draft “ of the Taj Mahal .
Later drive to Fatehpur Sikri which stands at 30 Km from Agra toward West. This mini City built in Red Sandstone was the erstwhile Capital of the Moghul Emperor Akbar. A wonderful 2 Hours will be spent inside the city with your Tour Guide who would be happy to show you around and give you all details on the place. From here your chauffeur will drive you to Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary. You will arrive here in 01 hour and will check in at your hotel.
Relax and later at 4 PM visit the Sanctuary with your guide on a rowing small wooden boat and spot rare birds. Some birds migrate all the way from Siberia viz., the Crane. Return upon Sunset to your Hotel. Dinner awaits you here in the Palace Hotel. It could be on the sprawling Palace lawns. Overnight in your Hotel.
Day 08 : Bharatpur – Jaipur ( Drive 4 Hours )
Arrive Jaipur. A warm Rajasthani Style traditional welcome awaits you wherein
beautiful ladies dressed in traditional attire will conduct a ceremonious welcome to make you feel like a Maharaja ! Rajasthan is a state which is famous for valor and sacrifice of the “ Rajput Clan “ who were warriors. Kingdoms were run by various Maharajas and the entire State exudes the Royalty which once marked the State everywhere. You will find many massive and gorgeous Palaces and Forts all over the State. Relax and enjoy the Hotel ambiance.
Lunch at the Hotel After lunch , your Tour guide will meet you and take you around the Jaipur City which was founded by Sawai Mahraja Jai Singh in the 18th Century. Visit the Old City of Jaipur including Jantar Mantar , Hawa Mahal , Sisodia Bagh , City Palace , Jal Mahal which is built between a Lake. “ Jal “ means Water and “ Mahal “ means Palace. Your guide will narrate the history of all the places. You will find Jantar Mantar interesting…it was built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh who was very fond of Astronomy. You will find a massive sun dial here. Even now one can gauge the positions of Sun and planets here.
This evening we would drive you 30 km away for a special dinner in Rajasthani style with cultural Rajasthani event to yet another beautiful Palace known as Samode Palace situated in a small hamlet called Samode. Dance if you want with the tune of the traditional “ Langa “ Musicians. They sing and play instruments on folk tunes. Overnight in the comfort of your bedroom.
Day 09 : In Jaipur
Today after breakfast , Your guide will once again meet you and drive by your private car to Amber Fort which is 11 km away. This sprawling Fort was the initial Capital City of Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II. The most interesting part here for you could be the Joy ride you will enjoy to climb the Fort through the pathway on Elephant back. The Fortress which in on an hillock has major history which will be narrated by your guide.
It would be 2 -3 hours before you end your sojourn to this exquisite Fort, a landmark now for the biggest City in the State of Rajasthan – Jaipur. Drive back to Jaipur. Dinner at Hotel and later overnight stay.
Day 10 : Jaipur – Delhi ( Drive 5 – 6 Hours )
Today breakfast will be at leisure and later your chauffeur will drive you comfortably back to the Capital of India – New Delhi. Stop for lunch at the Neemrana Fort which is on the way to Delhi which is 100 km away. Arrive and check in at your Hotel.
Transfer to Indira Gandhi International Airport T3 Terminal for your flight home.
